What happens to the waste after my skip is taken away?

We care passionately about the environment and are committed to reducing the amount of waste that goes into landfills, we work hard to turn waste into new resources and contribute to a circular economy.

We operate a specialist waste management and recycling centre in Darlington where we bring all the waste collected in our skips.  Once it arrives it is weighed then recycled the following waste streams; timber, metals, plasterboard, light plastics, heavy plastics, green waste, cardboard, paper, textiles, carpets, brick rubble, roof tiles, slates, concrete, glass, soils and stone, before sending them on to specialist, approved re-processors to be turned into new products.

We are constantly working to improve our recycling facilities to continuously improve our recycling rates. To achieve this, we invest in staff training, development and management to ensure our staff can react quickly when legislation changes or when the demands of our clients change.

By implementing environmentally friendly waste treatment processes it is not only helping the environment, but also customers to meet their corporate social responsibility and environmental commitments.
